Forerunner 3D Printing was started in 2016 after it was time for a rapid prototyping veteran to pass the torch to a younger generation of engineers. After 24 years of successful business, Select Mfg. was acquired and transitioned into Forerunner 3D. With the help of many industry experts, Forerunner continues to be a leader in rapid prototyping. By providing outstanding service and investing in new technology, Forerunner has plans to continue growth and be on the leading edge of additive manufacturing technologies.
Paul has always been passionate about manufacturing, taking design classes as early as high school. He also spent a great deal of his adolescence in various factories, teaching himself how to program and design at a fundamental level. After graduating high school he continued his manufacturing education at Ferris State University where he earned an Associate’s Degree in Manufacturing Tooling Technology and a Bachelor of Science Degree in Manufacturing Engineering Technology.
In Jennifer’s freshman year of high school math was her favorite class the subject came very easy to her and she really enjoyed it. Once she graduated high school she decided to pursue her education further to utilize her math skills professionally. She graduated with an Associates of Business in Accounting and was connected with DeWys Engineering and became their Bookkeeper. Her role progressively grew to include the Human Resource and Administrative areas in addition to her financial responsibilities. Jennifer took on even more responsibility as she continued all of her responsibilities when Forerunner was created. She is very passionate about all the roles she plays within the Forerunner team.
Chief Trouble Maker
Justin graduated from Grand Rapids Community College with an Associates Degree in 2011. Focusing his early career on Quality Assurance in Manufacturing, he continues to apply quality and metrology techniques to 3D printing. Technology has always been a passion for Justin, so when the opportunity to manage a 3D Printing shop came along he was immediately interested. With a passion for learning Justin continues to learn everything he can about 3D printing and rapid prototyping. He uses his knowledge to guide customers through their prototyping process.
