MJF – Nylon 12 (PA-12)

MJF Nylon 12 is an engineering grade thermoplastic for high-density parts with great dimensional accuracy and fine detail for functional prototyping and final parts. Nylon 12 is ideal for complex assemblies, fixturing, lattice structures, housings, enclosures and connectors, and optimal for post finishing processes. Nylon 12 also has excellent chemical resistance to things like oils, greases, aliphatic hydrocarbons and alkalies.

Finish / Color Options

RAW – Part is left gray after beadblasting, this is the color of the parts after they come off the printer. More examples of this finish can be seen here.

BLACK DYE – Part is dyed black after beadblasting, this is the standard finish for MJF PA-12 parts unless something else is requested by the customer. F3DP does not charge extra for this finish. More examples of this finish can be seen here.

CERAKOTE – This is a ceramic based paint that can be applied to MJF PA-12 Parts, for more information please check out this page.
